Chairman of Reliance INdustries to launch $25bn 5G rollout program
Multi-billionaire Mukesh, a Indian multi-billionaire, has announced a $25bn plan (PS21.3bn), to launch 5G mobile internet service in India within two months.

Reliance Industries' telecoms-toretail group, headed by Mr Ambani says that the high-speed network will first be launched in major cities like New Delhi and Mumbai.
Ambani stated that it would then be extended to other parts of India by December 2023.
Google is also helping the company develop a 5G budget smartphone.
On Monday, Reliance's annual meeting was held. Mr Ambani stated that the company's 5G network will be fully operational once it is.
Reliance's Jio subsidiary, India's largest mobile operator, will roll out the service.
Reliance is also working with US technology giant Google on a 5G smartphone. However, Mr Ambani did not provide any details about the price or expected launch date.

The Indian government held a record $19bn auction of airwaves earlier this month. Jio was the top buyer.
It also attracted bids from Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea, as well as Adani Data Networks, a fourth new entrant.
The fifth generation of mobile internet, or 5G, is a high-speed network that supports emerging technologies like driverless cars and artificial Intelligence.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated in May that 5G would not only speed up internet speeds but also help with development and employment.
